LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The new school year is fast approaching, and communities in Las Vegas and Henderson are working together to collect school supplies for students and teachers.

The sixth annual Fill the Bus supply drive kicks off Friday, July 27, with two locations to help education across the valley, and The Cosmopolitan is partnering with Communities in Schools to help out.

Cheri Ward, executive director of Communities in Schools of Southern Nevada, and Lori Calderon, director of talent acquisition for The Cosmopolitan, joined us Thursday to talk about Fill the Bus and how people will be giving back to the community.
