Rickie Fowler turned in one of the best rounds of the day at 8 under. He finished tied for 4th at -17.

Defending champion Patrick Cantlay came close to going back-to-back for the first time since Jim Furyk did it in 1998 and 1999, but he lost his one shot lead on the 17th hole when DeChambeau dropped an eagle on 16.
